Kates Bros, custon shoes and comfort footwear

For years I had problems finding shoes that properly fit in order to walk pain free. I need to wear very bulky orthotics. Shoe shopping was nightmarish. I required a lot of patience and expertise from the shoe salesmen to fit me properly. Unfortunately, most shoe salesmen do not possess these qualities. In addition, most shoe stores did not carry shoes that fit orthotics.

My quest for the proper fitting shoes ended when I discovered Kates Brothers where I have been a loyal customer for the past 10 years. At Kates Brothers, both David and Marie offer personal and professional service. They are experienced shoe fitters and understand the importance of well fitting shoes. Each customer is given friendly and individual service. In addition, the store would not be complete without Antonio – the shoe maker. He is an excellent craftsman who not only resoles shoes but makes shoes for those who have special needs.

Thanks to Marie, David and Antonio I have been walking pain free in comfortable fitting shoes. They have made shoe shopping an enjoyable and friendly experience.

I was recently going on vacation to France, so I knew I had to see David at Kates Brothers Shoes. After 20 years of excellent service he was the man to see. I told him I would be doing a great deal of walking and needed a really comfortable pair of sneakers. He recommended Propet Life Walkers, they are so comfortable you can walk for hours in comfort. Dave was correct as always, so when comfort is important I go see Dave at Kates, naturally.

I've been buying my shoes at Kates Brothers for about 8 years. I'll never forget the time Dave said to me, “your feet don't lie.” Being a Chaplain and a youth minister keeps me on my feet many hours per day, so a good comfortable shoe with support is very important to me and allows me to be a happier minister. Dave is always very pleasant and takes his time to fit my feet just right. It doesn't matter if I am walking the halls of the hospital for 8 to 10 hours at a time, running after my own family or the many teens I work with, I am always in fashion and my feet know the difference.
