A certified pedorthist (C.Ped) is a specialist in using footwear, which includes shoes, shoe modifications and other pedorthic devices to solve problems related to the foot and lower limbs. A pedorthist (C.Ped) completes a specific course of study and then must pass a certification exam to be recognized as a C.Ped. In addition, a C.Ped must maintain their certification by following Continuing Education and renewal requirements.
